SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT JEN NAVE'S FUNDRAISER FOR LEUKEMIA

If you follow me on Facebook, you may already know about my granddaugher, Jen Nave, who is a 27 year old widow. She lost her husband to Leukemia. Jen promised her husband, Pat, that she would do all she could to raise awareness of Leukemia and the donor process for the bone marrow transplant.

Jen has a blog that she started before Pat passed away. Their journey to other states trying to get help. They had a baby in December (added to the four year old they already have) the blog explains everything they had to endure up to the time he died. Pat's Journey

Now she is planning fundraisers, night walks and everything that she can think of to raise the awareness. There isn't an organized walk in Billings, the closest is in Boise Idaho, but if Jen makes a good showing, they will have a walk in Billings next year.

An unofficial "Light the Night" walk will be held at 7 p.m. on Oct. 14 at North Park in Billings. To learn more about the event, to participate or to donate, search for "Billings Light the Night" on Facebook. Please share with all your friends to help raise awareness to Leukemia and bone marrow transplants.

Jen, my Granddaughter's Blog

It is with a sad heart that I post this. My Granddaughter, Jen Nave, just lost her husband to cancer. He had Leukemia.
To read her Blog and if you are so moved, a donation button has been added. Please Pray for the courageous couple. Jen is a Christians (as was Pat) and trusting in the Lord to lead her as what to do next. As with any tragic disease, they are in financial trouble. The donate button is on this blog:

http://patnave.blogspot.com/

They have a 4 year old son and a baby just 2 months old. Be sure to read all the tabs, she goes into detail about their family, their treks across the country, trying to find some help for Pat. We lost him on February14th. He was surrounded by his family and friends in the hospital.

Prayers are welcome and if you find it in your heart to use the donate button, all contributions will be appreciated. this has been a terrible blow to the family and extended family.

Thank you and God Bless you!

Time to Post and Udate

It seems all I do is apologize for not posting sooner. A lot has happened since the last post. Well, nothing monumental, just everyday happenings.

I seem to have more flare-ups (Rheumatoid Arthritis) as time goes by. Trying to get my meds straightened out. They pulled the pain pill that was actually helping the pain. Now we are searching for one that will work and not be too expensive, habit forming or bad side effects.

In December, I broke off a front tooth. I went to the dentist and had the root pulled and they took impressions for a partial. While waiting for the space to heal up, I broke the one next to it, had to have that root pulled. I am running out of teeth to anchor the partial. This past week, I got the partial for the uppers. I am a gagger, I can't even let the dentist muck around in my mouth with out gagging. Well, I guess you know what the partial does?? But I am going to do my best to wear them all the time. I do take them out at night, but trying to wear them during the day. It will take some getting use to. The spot where the tooth came out last week, is still sore, so the partial is uncomfortable. Still gagging, but not as bad as yesterday.

Thanks for reading, be sure to check out my granddaughter's blog, she just lost her husband to cancer, please Pray for her and her two babies.

God Bless you,
Joshua 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God [is] with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Yours in Christ,
